We now live in a world where online shopping is a go to! Its so easy to online shop and just wait for everything to arrive right at your door step. Online shopping saves us time, sometimes money, gas and lets be honest who doesn't love shopping in pajamas!

Does it work/how?

I discovered Rakuten back in 2011 when it was back then called Ebates. They recently changed their logo and name but it is the same company. Rakuten works like this: Stores pay Rakuten commission for sending us (consumers) to their websites and they basically share the money with us! (its brilliant!!💵) Its safe and not a scam! Shopping with Rakuten really works too, I got a check for 30 dollars in the mail just 2 weeks ago.

How to get money back:

The way that you start to get money back is by doing your regular online shopping through them. So, when you are about to shop all you do is go to their website, choose the store or website you are going to place your online order with and thats it! Rakuten connects your profile to that purchase and they give you a percentage back from the order total. Each store has a different percentage of cash back and it does change every few days. (Tip: Shop stores that have a higher percentage for more cash back) You can also download the app on your phone and just open the app, pick the store and shop. If you are using your desktop or laptop you can save Rakuten to Chrome as an extension and go straight to the online store without having to go to Rakuten's website first. (Tip: You can also use Rakuten when you're booking hotels, flights, and vacations = more money back) Rakuten is known more for their online money back deals but they also have an In-Store cash back where you link the offer they have to your credit or debit card (add credit card to Rakuten profile) and pay with that same card at the store and you get money back too! Set up your account:

Rakuten is super easy to use! I have made a step by step on how to use Rakuten and get money back! They have a deal right now that if you sign up and do your first online order of $25 or more they give you $10 dollars back into your account. Click any of the Rakuten icons at any time to create your account and get started!

Rakuten Money Back

1. Make an account with Rakuten (everything is free).

2. Search the store you want to online shop at. (You can also make a list of your favorite online stores)

3. Click the store's name and Rakuten will redirect you to the actual store page.

4. Place order as normal.

5. Rakuten will then post your money back amount on your Rakuten account.

6. Every 3 month you will get a check in the mail with your money back from your purchases. (if your money back is less than 5 dollars it will carry over to the following 3 month pay period.)

It really is that simple and a very smart way to shop. Like I mentioned its not a scam at all, Ive had my account since 2011 and its nice to get that check in the mail every 3 months. Its like I got paid for shopping!
