I initially had a different post for today, yet my heart kept tugging at me since I woke up.
My husband and I woke up to the news that Kobe Bryant and his daughter along with 7 others had passed away in a helicopter crash. I was in shock when he told me and as soon as I opened my phone I saw the full report. šAs I started on my day, I kept thinking about how hard it must be for Kobe's entire family in this moment. I also thought about his close friends and fans who love him as well as all the other passengers friends and family. Losing a family member is devastating and my heart really goes out to them and everyone else who is suffering at this time. ā„ļø
Ive taken this day to reflect on my own life. Ive thought about how short life can be as well as how hard and crazy it is sometimes. Difficult things can be thrown at us in an instant and they can change our life forever. There is no other way to put it than life can be hard sometimes and thats why I think its very important to not take things for granted, live life to the fullest and be kind.
I have always thought of myself as a little puzzle piece thats part of a huge beautiful puzzle and I hope that in this life time I find the other connecting puzzle pieces. (My favorite puzzle piece is my hubby!) Finding those connecting pieces (family, friends and people that impact your life in a positive way) is important but even if we come across other puzzle pieces that we do not connect with side by side its important to still uplift those pieces, be kind and understanding. Many times it's very easy to see whats going on from the outside but more often than not the hardest battles are behind close doors or internally. We all have struggles, we all have problems, and we are all dealing with something so I ask that you join me in supporting and uplifting one another. We can do this simply by checking in with each other, being encouraging when we know someone is struggling, lending a helping hand or just giving a smile. We truly never know what others are going through and your small gesture can mean the world.
Life can be very hard but if we show kindness and understanding for one another we can make life just a little bit better.

This made me tear up. What a beautiful reminder to be kind and present in the lives of those around us. Thank you for always being there. ā¤
